Caroline's Third Week

We have had another great week. Tyler's mom Bebe came to stay with us. She was a huge help and Gracie loved having her here! Caroline continues to be an easy baby. She still waking up once at night but only for 20 minutes to eat and have a diaper change. We have enjoyed taking walks in the new stroller since the weather has been so great. Caroline also likes going outside and watching Gracie play. Gracie is Caroline's second mommy shadowing my every move. I am feeling stronger each day and can't wait for the day when I can pick Gracie up again. At Caroline's 2 1/2 week check up she weighed 6 lb 6 oz. She has grown a lot! She is now almost 21 inches long. Caroline continues to have breast milk jaundice, but Dr. Denison seems to think it will work itself out. We are off to Houston for Thanksgiving. We have been truly blessed this year with our precious family!
I think I will have big blue eyes like my big sister. I am a very good sleeper!
I love my swing!!! Gracie thinks I like it better when her baby is with me.

Cousin Becky came to visit me.

Sister "tummy time"

I love bath time

It is my favorite tome of the day!

Gracie loves to help change diapers. We had to move the stool close so she can climb up to see.

Caroline is pretty laid back most of the time! We hope she stays that way.

Fussing a little bit

Caroline loves her bouncy seat

Bebe flew Gracie all around the house

Gracie thought Bebe was sooo funny!

Caroline and Gracie took their first bath together. Gracie had to show Caroline Ming Ming!

...and help wash her!

Caroline's Second Week

We have had a super second week! Kay Kay left last week and the three of us are making it on our own just fine when Daddy is at work. Aunt Lucy came last Friday to help me with Gracie and Aunt Katie helped by picking Gracie up from school. It is hard because I can't lift her or drive until Thankgiving. Gracie continues to be a wonderful big sister and is very attentive to Caroline. Caroline is very laid back so far so we are saying our prayers she stays that way. She loves to sleep and eat. We have gone through more diapers than we could have ever dreamed of. Here are a few pics of Caroline by herself. Enjoy!

We have had an amazing first week. Gracie just loves having her "baby" at home. When we pulled up in the driveway after leaving the hospital Gracie cheered and clapped. She was so glad to have everyone at home. Then she ran inside right away and showed Caroline her room. Of course we had to read Baby Dear right away too. We have been reading it to Gracie every day trying to get Gracie ready for the new baby. Caroline now weighs 5 pounds 10 oz and is only waking up once during the night to eat and then goes right back to sleep. We had our one week check up and she is doing great. She loves to eat all day long, but as long as she sleeps at night I am ok with that. We are enjoying our girls!!!!

Happy Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween in the Hospital. Caroline was a pumpkin and Gracie was a Princess Fairy. Gracie loved telling people "tick-tet" She even got to trick or treat in the halls of the hospital. Tyler went home to take her trick or treating in our neighborhood. She had so much fun!

Caroline is Here!

Caroline Ann Isbell arrived October 30th just before 8 o'clock in the morning. To her mommy's surprise she weighed 6 pounds even. She is tiny, but healthy! KayKay, Papa, Bebe, Grandad, Gangan and Gracie were so excited to meet her. Here are some of the pictures of her first few hours. Gracie is an amazing big sister and wants to hold Caroline every chance she can get.

KayKay bought Caroline a premie outfit because she was so small!
