Gracie's First Haircut

I finally broke down and got Gracie's hair cut. She did a good job sitting still. Lou Anne was very patient and Gracie sat in my lap while she cut it. Gracie was too funny...she loved it when she dried her hair and after we all told her how pretty it was and she couldn't stop smiling. It still has a lot of growing to do but at least now it is all even. Enjoy the pics!

The before picture

They sprayed my hair and put baby powder on my shoulders

I am not too sure about this!

Looking at KayKay to make sure everything is OK
Mom holds my hands down I think I like this nowI am a big girl getting my hair dried!

Houston

Gracie went to Houston after cousin Sarah's wedding. KayKay and Papa took her a day early so Tyler and I could have a date night and I could get my Junior League shift done. I met her down there the next day to make selections for Gracie's big girl room. We ended up getting most everything taken care of. KayKay already sewed the bed skirt for the baby bed and now she has to finish sewing the bedding and curtains. Thank you so much KayKay for having Gracie and helping with her new room. Leigh and Lola came to visit too. I wish I took more pictures, but we were busy sewing and putting fabrics together. Enjoy the few pics I did take!

Papa and I splashed in the pool!

Here comes Uncle Jeff to get my toes.

We had a fun visit with Leigh and Lola!

Lola was just my size!

Uncle Thomas came to visit!

Uncle Thomas came to visit Gracie before a business trip. He just got a new job as Director of Marketing at a firm in Ohio and we are so proud of him! He took Gracie to the spray park and dinner. They played so hard she lost her bows. Thanks for coming to visit us Uncle Thomas!
I love my Uncle Thomas!

I laugh so hard when he sprays my face

We had soooo much fun!
James and Daddy came to meet us after work too!

Popsicles!

John came over to play with Gracie while Mary Jane went to the doctor. They had so much fun. After I got their swimsuits on I told them to go to the backyard together so John reached out his hand and held Gracie's to head to the door. Here are a few pictures of them enjoying the pool and popsicles.

Baby Girl Update

We had another Sonogram to check on the baby this week. She looks wonderful despite going through the flu. She had both feet over her head and her hands behind her head with her elbows out. At one point she was sucking her left thumb so I am wondering if she will be a lefty. We have scheduled her Birthday for October 30th. When I go back in August we will go ahead and schedule the time she will be born. I am thankful to get to plan this one after Gracie was so late, but know she might surprise us too like her uncle did. We are still working on a name so we will post again when we finally agree!

Happy 4th of July!

We went to KayKay and Papa's lake house at Lake McQueeney for the 4th of July. It was so much fun! Gracie loved to sit in her baby pool and watch the boats go by. She also loved the boat parade and water balloon war on the 4th. She even tried to throw a few water balloons herself. We thought she might be scared of the fireworks but she loved them and sat so still and watched them the entire time. They lasted for over an hour and finally stopped when the barge caught fire. The Lodge built a huge playground and Gracie had fun playing there while everyone ate dinner. Kids were everywhere and she couldn't get enough of them. The Biggs, Cousin Becky and Auntie Kirsten came to the lake with us. We slept 18 in the house so there was always someone to play with Gracie. She was in heaven and had to readjust when we came back to Dallas. We can't wait to do it all again next year so Gracie can show her little sister the ropes of 4th of July at Lake McQueeney.

Gracie loved playing in the pool with the "Mommy Doll"

Kay Kay bought Gracie a headband but she didn't like wearing it very much!
Water balloon wars on the 4th of July during the boat parade. We went through over 800 water balloons that day. Gracie was trying to squirt the boats Having so much fun!
Daddy was being silly and put two water balloons in my bathing suit. He won't think this is near as funny when I get a little older. Gracie is a Daddy's Girl. Auntie Kirsten came to see me and we got to meet her new boyfriend Matthew.
We liked him a lot! Kay Kay, Kirsten and Gracie watching the boats go by. Gracie waved to every boat!

Kay Kay and Papa watched me while Mommy went swimming.

Everyone had fun swimming after the water balloon wars.

I love the lake!!!!!!
